Autumn Buckskin F1 is a Cucurbita moschata hybrid that brings serious reliability to the garden. The moschata lineage means strong vine borer resistance and heat tolerance, the same traits that make Seminole and Butternut varieties so well-suited to hot, humid summers.
The fruits run 15 to 18 pounds with thick, dense walls and deeply colored orange flesh that is naturally low in moisture. That dry, concentrated flesh cooks down smooth, holds its texture through long roasting, and purées without excess water. It is exactly what you want from a pumpkin going into soups, pies, and long-cooked dishes. It also stores well, expect 3 to 5 months in a cool, dry space after harvest.
As an F1 hybrid, Autumn Buckskin is bred for uniformity and consistent fruit set. Your plants will ripen on a predictable schedule and produce fruit of similar size across the row. If you want dependable output from a moschata variety that handles Kansas summers without flinching, this is a strong choice.
Seeds are treated, coated with a protective fungicide to support germination in cool or wet soil conditions early in the season.
