Butterkin Squash Seeds, Pumpkin-Butternut Cross

Free shipping on orders $25+ · Satisfaction guaranteed
Butterkin squash seeds grow a sweet cross between a butternut and a pumpkin, tan-skinned Cucurbita moschata fruits with dense, deep-orange flesh that roasts beautifully. Think butternut flavor in a small pumpkin shape.
Butterkin grows on trailing vines and enjoys Kansas summers (Zone 6b). Direct sow after your last frost or start indoors about 3 weeks early. Roughly 100 days to maturity with good storage. As a moschata squash it carries the solid, dense stems that give this group its vine borer resistance, the same trait that makes butternut types dependable through a Kansas July.
An F1 hybrid bred for sweetness and vigor. Read the Butterkin squash growing guide for Kansas sowing dates, spacing and curing.
